I see that you accept on-line credit card payments. Is this secure ?
Absolutely. Your security is our top concern. We use state of the art Secured Socket Layer encryption technology to protect your sensitive personal and credit card information. Your credit card number is only
needed at the time of payment to check that it is a valid card number and then to debit your account. Once this takes
place the number of your card is deleted from our system and is not stored on either our server or of that of the bank.
What if something goes wrong while I’m ordering?
Send us an e-mail explaining what happened. Please provide your telephone number in case we have any questions and need to contact you.
Are these productions legal?
Absolutely!! Each Kolander Images work is a Digital Original Limited Edition piece originated by the artist and backed up by a true Certificate of Authenticity.
Are Certificates of Authenticity issued?
Absolutely!! Each limited edition print is accompanied by a numbered and signed Certificate of Authenticity, which includes information about the artist, print, manufacturing process, and release date and size.
When will I receive my order?
Our standard processing time for all orders is approximately 2-5 business days plus shipping time.
Is it a print or a painting?
Every Kolander Images piece is a Digital Original Limited Edition print on canvas hand signed and numbered by the artist backed up by a true Certificate of Authenticity.
What is the quality of art that you carry?
Our prints are created with impeccable quality canvas and digital print technology (see
Digital Original Limited Editions). Computer monitors cannot match the visual resolution of the print, and so examples shown over the Internet are quite limited.
Many customers have asked us before they order, "Is it nice enough to frame?" Our products
are meant to be framed, and if you do not agree once you receive it, simply return the painting for a full refund (see our
return policy for details).
Will the painting look just like it does on the web site?
We have strict standards to ensure that our web site images accurately represent the
piece that you have ordered. However, the images presented on the web site have been drastically reduced in resolution and color characteristics may have been modified in that process.
Keep in mind that the color and resolution of each piece far exceeds that of your computer
monitor, and so in many cases, the art pieces look much better than what can be shown on a web site.
Are the paintings delivered framed or unframed?
Kolander Images is a strong believer that the frame and mount of a piece can contribute as much to a room as the piece
itself and therefore does not engage in framing or mounting services.
The pieces are delivered unframed as rolled-up canvases, that can either be stretch mounted on a wood frame, or mounted
within a glass and frame.
This is for the following reasons:
1. The choice of frame for your painting depends not only on the painting (colours, size etc), but also on the décor
of the room in which it will be displayed, and so is very much a matter of individual choice.
2. If we framed the
piece for you, its price would increase significantly due to much higher shipping costs.
3. Glass frames are far more
susceptible to shipping damage than canvas rolled into a mailing tube.
For those reasons, we recommend that you take your painting to be framed at a local picture-framing shop.
How can I get an artist’s proof?
Our artist, Kevin, does on occasion release signed and catalogued artist proofs. However, in today’s digital
frontier, Kevin recognizes that there is no value-add for traditional artist’s proofs because the digital print process
produces exact images and does not degrade over time, like mechanical reproduction methods. He does not reserve the
traditional 10% run size and demand higher values once the limited edition sells out.
Instead, Kevin will create a series of Developmental Proofs as he makes small refinements to the Digital Original master, usually in composition or color balance. Each Developmental
Proof is therefore truly a one-of-a-kind. He will create anywhere from 5 to 20 such proofs, depending upon complexity
of the piece.
If you have your heart set on collecting an Artist’s Proof, contact us and we’ll work with you.
